Phantom
Phantom, the latest production by Darío Bardam, focuses on the relationship between the figure of the ghost and the politics of disidentification, following the lines of research developed in his previous projects, which examine the catalysts of a dance that exceeds the body that performs it (rhythm, repetition, feedback, archive, gaze, voice, among others).
In Phantom, different beats and melodies are explored through DJ sets, together with the superimposition of shadows and lights as a theatrical device; constructing a ghostly body that fades away to make space for everything to dance.
At the core of the project, the pleasure of dancing plays a fundamental role.
Darío Bardam
Darío Bardam es un bailarín canario cuya práctica artística explora la danza como forma autónoma de conocimiento, así como las prácticas de desidentificación como mecanismos de mediación.
Se ha formado en Teatro Victoria (Tenerife), Institut del Teatre (Barcelona), DOCH - Escuela de Danza y Circo (Estocolmo) y JLU - Universidad de Giessen (Alemania). A lo largo de su trayectoria, ha colaborado como bailarín, co-creador e intérprete con Cullberg, Aleksandar Georgiev, Deborah Hay, Cristina Caprioli, Ofelia Jarl Ortega, Philip Berlin y Poliana Lima, entre otras.
Es co-dreamer del proyecto-institución ICC (Imaginative Choreographic Center), co-fundador del equipo artístico STEAM ROOM, y miembro de la junta directiva de la asociación PiedeBase (Canarias).
Darío codirige junto con Beatriz Bello el LAV-C (Laboratorio de Artes Vivas y Ciudadanía de Canarias).
