The RPM 2025 laboratory – led by Portuguese artist Tânia Carvalho – will delve into the exploration of the body as a territory of persistence, transit, and transformation, drawing on elements from A tecedura do caos, one of her most well-known works, as well as from her new creation in progress, Ventre do vulcão.
The dialogue with live tableaux and the reconfiguration of classical and romantic ballet gestures into an unceasing quest—like a Ulysses who never reaches home—characteristic of A tecedura do caos, are combined with the intimate shadows we inhabit and resist revealing, which inspire the exploration of the process Ventre do vulcão.
