Corpofalares

Corpofalares is a thought and study group on live arts initiated by RPM, conceived as a space for meeting, conversation and shared reflection around contemporary creation. In its first edition, in autumn 2026, researcher, artist and cultural manager Sabela Mendoza will lead the sessions:

"Oh, if bodies could speak... What would they tell us? What would we say? What would we be able to learn? Wait, this is already happening. In fact, it never stops happening."

Corpofalares proposes bringing together periodically at Espazo RPM a diverse group of people, including both live arts professionals and curious members of the public who wish to approach this field out of curiosity, in order to learn and imagine together. The sessions will encourage an exchange of perspectives, experiences and ways of looking at bodies, movement, dance and performativity.

Through videos, readings, images and conversations, we will open up our perception to these fields, tracing some lines through a (revisited) history of live arts and connecting them with the present and with current artistic practices, while drawing on references from the curatorial programme that RPM has been developing over time.

With this initiative, RPM continues to expand its lines of connection between artists and citizens, understanding that supporting artistic practice also means building community, creating opportunities to share questions, broaden references and strengthen the bonds between one another.

Sabela Mendoza

Independent researcher, artist and cultural manager specialising in dance and performance arts, as well as contemporary creation and cultural policy analysis. She holds a degree in Law, a Master’s in Cultural Management and a Master’s in Performing Arts Practice and Visual Culture. She has worked as a curator, advisor and producer for various cultural organisations and projects. She is the founder and director of the artistic and publishing platform De corpos presentes. She regularly collaborates with choreographer Javier Martín and A Casa Vella, a rural creation centre.
