Is it possible to miss the future? Can the lack of emancipation in our generation create a sense of nostalgia for a future we will never live?
This project is a research process by Disiden.Cia, emerging from a shared feeling of disorientation, uncertainty, exhaustion, and not belonging, placing otherness and the “alien” at the center of its inquiry. From the need to pause constant production, the project seeks to deepen its own artistic practice and develop a scenic language as a company.
Disiden.Cia navigates hybrid, androgynous, and “alienated” bodies, drawing from late 20th-century futurism, but in a moment that greatly differs from the future imagined in those decades, now observing contemporary collapse.
“Botar de menos o futuro" (Missing the future) questions normative identities, productive logic, and cis-heteronormative frameworks, understanding the “alien” not as exclusion, but as a creative, absurd force and a space for encounter.
Disiden.Cia is a collective, half from Navarre and half from Galicia, formed by Martina Los Arcos and Marcia Vázquez, two dancers from Pamplona and Vigo, respectively. They met during their contemporary dance training at Faktoria Choreographic Center.
