Bautismo (Baptism)

Sessions Bautismo – December 20, 21, and 22 > Reservation form

Bautismo (Baptism) is an immersive piece, a private and fleeting dive into a space of care where you can leave your body suspended between the bubbles of a jacuzzi overflowing with collective liquid memories. Bautismo (Baptism) is a rite of passage, an effervescent experience in a primordial broth where one can be alone for a moment.

Created in the summer of 2021 as an antidote to the sadness and widespread fears characteristic of the pandemic months that preceded it, the piece aims to be a kind of balm, a space of both escape and reconnection. Bautismo (Baptism) is the first in a series of immersive pieces for aquatic bodies by the artist.

Bautismo (Baptism) will be open for three days (December 20, 21, and 22) with individual 30-minute sessions, by prior reservation.

Bautismo (Baptism) is a piece by Iara Solano Arana, with the support of the Teatro de La Abadía Madrid. The original idea, text, and voice are by Iara Solano Arana, with original music and accompaniment by Sammy Metcalfe and opening/closing narration by Camila Vecco Haddad.

This Cruceiro Paraíso is possible thanks to the support of the Diputación de A Coruña.
